What is Encanto Terrace Elder Care (assisted living facility)?

Encanto Terrace Elder Care is one of the living arrangements available to those who are not able to live on their own with an option of long term or short term care.  Encanto Terrace Elder Care is for elderly who are partly independent, but to provide assistance with everyday tasks such as bathing, dressing, and medication supervision. We are a residential setting care home licensed for 10 residents (but only 6 rooms) to provide a more personalized service to each resident and offer care from respite to directed level of care.  (AZ Health Dept. will licensed either 5 or 10 beds)

Residential Care Home tailor personalized meaningful attention to the specific individual with a one on one care than larger facilities and the cost is half the price you would pay for a larger care facility.


What is the cost of residing in Encanto Terrace Elder Care?  

The cost is according to the level of care required by the resident and charges are billed on a monthly basis. The fees are as follow and please don't let the prices below stop you from a visit to Encanto Terrace Elder Care since we are known to discuss each individual's budget with family members.  
-for supervisory, personal & directed level of care it is from $65-$95 daily rate for semi private rooms and $80-$125 for private rooms
-for respite care (up to 3 months) is from $125-175 daily rate


What is respite Care?

Respite care is beneficial activities involving temporary care for someone after a surgery, accident or pretty much to provide relief to the caretaker, spouse or family member who need a break for a brief period of time, such as overnight, a weekend or up to 3 months.  


How does Encanto Terrace Elder Care handle a medical emergency of a resident?

The staff at Encanto Terrace Elder Care are trained and certified by the American Red Cross for CPR and first-aid. We have procedures for obtaining emergency assistance, such as an ambulance. We are required to keep individual resident records available to the staff and store them so that information is immediately available in an emergency. This record must contain written information, including the name, address and phone number of anyone who should be notified in an emergency and the name and number of the resident's doctor. If a resident's health takes a turn for the worse, we make sure that the resident receives proper medical attention or, if necessary, is transferred to a medical facility.


How will a resident adjust to Encanto Terrace Elder Care?

It is normal to expect an adjustment period for the resident, family and the entire adult care household once a new resident moves into our facility.


What is the size of the rooms?

Our room varies from 125-140 sq ft. The Arizona Health Department requires 60 sq ft per person.

What do you normally serve for each meal?

Everyday we serve something different. We have a menu set up every month that is required by the Health Dept. and each meal is also based on health requirements and preferences. Below you can see few items what we normally serve for each meal. Snacks are available daily between meals and upon request (fresh fruits, animal crackers, pudding, yogurt, baby carrots, sliced cheese, milk/tea, apple/orange/cranberry juice, apple sauce, melted peanut butter) Residents encouraged to drink eight glasses of water and/or clear liquids. Substitutions made daily with Dr. order to accommodate diabetic and vegetarian diets.
